WILLIAM HILL WORLD DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP

Well I didn’t play at all well in the Worlds on Saturday losing to Kyle Anderson 3-0.
I am giving the darts a rest now over the Christmas period and will reassess my game for the start of 2015.
I hope all my family, friends, supporters and sponsors have a fantastic Christmas and an even better New Year.
Cheers everyone !!!!!!!!

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 18TH DECEMBER-4TH JANUARY

Well I have drawn Kyle Anderson in the first round of the William Hill World Darts Championship and will be playing around 7pm on Saturday 20th December.
I have been putting in the practise and feel confident.
A big  thank you to my sponsors Winmau. Wigley Contracts Ltd and Airport Placements Ltd.

UPDATES 25th NOVEMBER

Great exhibition evening at the Wellington Inn in Widnes on Tuesday. Looking forward to my rematch against Anthony Hall.
I didn’t have a good weekend in the last two pro tours of the year in Coventry going out early both days.
I would like to say thank you to my best mate and sponsor Rob Wigley for putting me up for the weekend and to wish him all the best in his new home.
I will be playing Stephen Bunting in my first round match in the Players Championship Finals at Butlins Minehead this weekend so I am now off to put some practice in.
Happy Darting

UPDATES 4TH NOVEMBER

After defeating Arron Fairweather, Jake Jones, Colin Lloyd, Jamie Bain and Andrew Gilding I lost to Darren Webster in my last game to qualify for the Grand Slam of Darts….
Really disappointed at not qualifying as it’s a great tournament and I love the format.
Looking forward to the last two pro tour events of 2014 at the Ricoh Arena later this month and really pleased that I have already qualified for the player championships at the Minehead Butlins 28th-30th November.
Have a week off  now and hoping the weather will hold so I can do some work in our garden before winter sets in.
Good Luck to all the players in the Grand Slam.
Happy Darting

UPDATES 2ND NOVEMBER

After a very up and down October playing well in the floor tournaments and not settling and playing my best in the televised events I am hoping to change that around and bring my ‘A’ game to the Players Championships Finals at Butlins Minehead at the end of November.
I am putting in the practice and am hoping for a good run in the tournament, hopefully I will not draw either Phil Taylor or Michael van Gerwen first round !!!!
Firstly though the Grand Qualifier in Wigan on Monday, I would so love to qualify again for this tournament, it’s such a great format and I have some fantastic memories from past games at the Wolverhampton Civic beating Phil Taylor in 2010 being one of them.
A big thank you to my sponsors Winmau, Wigley Contracts Ltd and Airport Placements Ltd for their continued support and faith in me.
Happy Darting

On the Sunday I made the last 16 defeating Scott MacKenzie 6-3, Jamie Bain 6-4, James Richardson 6-0 then lost 6-3 to Jyhan Artut.
Michael van Gerwen denied James Wade a Pro Tour Championship double as he claimed a 6-2 victory against him in the Final.

OCTOBER UPDATE

Disappointed with how I played in my match against Phil Taylor in the World Grand Prix in Dublin but am looking forward to the two pro tour events at the K2 Centre in Crawley this weekend 18/19th Oct.
I was elated to have qualified for the European Championships in Mulheim Germany but guess who I drew in the first round !!!! Phil Taylor yet again, thanks Wayne Mardle !!!!
My turn to win I think !!!!

DUBLIN 4TH OCTOBER

Set and already practicing for the first of 2 pro tour events in Dublin this weekend. Great practice for Monday night’s game against Phil Taylor !!!!

PRO TOUR 13 & 14 AT THE K2 CENTRE IN CRAWLEY ON THE 13TH-14TH SEPT

Not too bad a weekend for me at the K2 Centre in Crawley.
Quarter Finals on the Saturday and the last 16 on the Sunday.
On the Saturday I started with a close game against Arron Monk in the first round edging past him 6-5 and progressed with a 6-2 win against Stuart White followed by another close encounter against Darren Webster winning that 6-5.
I defeated Jelle Klaasen 6-2 to take me into the Quarter Finals where I lost 6-4 to a very inform Ritchie Burnett.
Ritchie lost 6-5 to Gary Anderson in the final.
On the Sunday I beat Dan Russell 6-3, Michael Barnard 6-4, Stuart Kellett 6-2 and eventually lost in the last 16 to Adrian Lewis 6-3.
Michael Van Gerwen knocked Adrian out in the Semi Finals and Michael went on to win the event 6-4 against Michael Smith.
Really happy with my form and have a very good chance of qualifying for the European Championships in Muelheim  Germany in October.

Off to Leipzig in Germany this coming weekend for the last European Tour event of the year.
Happy Darting
