Id love to thank Steve Beaton for fantastic night for darts exhibition for cancer research we all had fantastic evening everyone who played him said it was pleasure to have game of darts with Steve especially the 3 who beat Steve Beaton in there game Mark Bethell, Laurence Budge and Luke Dennis , Luke Dennis had the trophy for best player he was over moon with this trophy

CRAWLEY WEEKEND 22ND & 23RD MARCH

The 3rd & 4th Pro Tour was held at the K2 Centre in Crawley and I went one better than last week making the last 16 both days.
On the Saturday I defeated Jerry Hendriks 6-0, Chris Aubrey 6-4, Jelle Klaasen 6-1 then lost to Terry Jenkins 6-4.
Dave Chisnall & Michael Van Gerwen both hit nine darters and Gary Anderson won the event by beating Phil Taylor 6-5 in a very close final.
On the Sunday I beat Matt Padgett in the first round 6-4, Joe Murnan 6-0, Dean Winstanley 6-1 and lost to Michael Smith 6-2.
Phil Taylor won the event by beating Ian White 6-0 in the final

BARNSLEY WEEKEND 15TH & 16TH MARCH

The first of the Pro Tour events of the year were at the Barnsley Metrodome on the 15th & 16th March.
I made the last 32 both days. On the Sat I defeated Matthew Edgar 6-5, Kevin Thomas 6-5 and lost to Michael Smith 6-4.
Adrian Lewis hit a nine darter and Gary Anderson beat Andrew Gilding 6-5 in the final.
On the Sunday I defeated Martyn Turner 6-3, Denis Ovens 6-4 and then lost 6-4 to Jamie Lewis.
Michael Van Gerwen won the event by beating Dean Winstanley 6-1 in the final.

 

WIGAN WEEKEND 21ST-23RD FEB

I played in the UK Open qualifiers 4/5/6 over the three days and didn’t fair as well as the first three only making the last 32 twice and the last 64 on the last one.
The good news is that I made the top 16 in the UK Open order of merit !!!!
I have drawn Brendan Dolan for my stage three match which will be on the Friday evening of the 7th March.

May the darts be with me!!!!

WIGAN WEEKEND 7TH-9TH FEB

I had a great weekend in Wigan making a Quarter Final, a Semi Final and the last 16 in three consecutive UK Open events.
On the Friday I defeated Robert Parker, William O’Connor, Ian White, Mark Barilli then lost 6-5 to Peter Wright.
On the Saturday Arron Monk, James Hubbard, Ben Ward, Nick Fullwell, Kim Huybrechts and then was denied a place in the final by Stephen Bunting.
I lost 6-5  to Adrian Lewis in the last 16 on the Sunday.

I have already qualified for the UK Open Finals at Butlins Minehead next month with three more UK Open events still to play.

I’m off to Veldhoven in the Netherlands this coming weekend for the second European Tour of the year and am very happy with the consistency of my game at the moment and I am enjoying my darts so really looking forward to it.

CASH CONVERTERS PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS BUTLINS MINEHEAD RESORT

I defeated James Wade 6-5 in the first round of the Cash Converters Players Championship Finals at the Butlins Minehead Resort.
I hit back from 3-1 and 5-3 down to progress to the second round to play Wes Newton.
I felt really good at the start of the game but never really got into the match losing it 9-3.
I am back on the practise board now and looking forward to the Ladbrokes World Championships.
I will be playing my first round game on Monday 16th December against either Devon Petersen or Mohammed Tatif Sapup at the Alexandra Palace in London.
It’s a fantastic venue so come along and join in the fun!!!!!

BARNSLEY WEEKEND 23RD-24TH NOVEMBER

I had another good run at the weekend making the Quarter Finals at the Metrodome in Barnsley on Sunday defeating Josh Payne, Steve West, Jelle Klaasen and Daryl Gurney then losing to Ricky Evans.
On the Saturday I made it to the last 16 so was pleased with another consistent performance as I had made the Quarters at the beginning of the month at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.
I also made the Semi Finals in group 7 of the Championship League so I am well happy with my darts
I have finished eighth in the 2013 Pro Tour order of merit so I will be playing James Wade in the first round of the Cash Converters Pro Tour Finals at the Butlins Minehead Resort in Somerset on Friday 29th November, last game on in the afternoon. The tournament is being televised by ITV 4.
I would love to have a decent run in this tournament and with the way I have been playing I am feeling confident.

KILLARNEY DOUBLE HEADER WEEKEND 19TH & 20TH OCTOBER

I had a great weekend in Killarney making it to the Quarter Finals on the Saturday in the Gleneagle Hotel Players Championship and the Semi Finals on the Sunday in the John McEvoy Players Championship.
On the  Saturday I started 6-0 against Luke Cheevers then Andy Jenkins 6-2, Joe Cullen 6-3, Dean Winstanley 6-1 and lost 6-3 to Jamie Caven in the Quarters.
Robert Thornton defeated Jamie Caven 6-5 in the final.
On the Sunday I was still in good form starting with  a 6-5 win over Joey Palfreyman in a very close game followed by a 6-4 against Johnny Haines, 6-2 over Vincent van der Voort, 6-5 in another close game against David Pallett, a 6-4 win over Gary Anderson in the Quarters then lost to the eventual winner Kim Huybrechts 6-2.
Kim defeated Kevin Painter 6-0 in the final.
After missing double 12 to beat James Wade in the first round of the World Grand Prix earlier this month I am pleased I’m still playing good consistent steady darts leading up to the Worlds.
I’m now off to the Championship League at Crondon Park next.
