After such a hectic week I am now home and loving it. I just wish the weather would pick up, sunshine is needed !!!!
I travelled to Austria for the 4th European Tour of the year held at the Steiermarkhalle in Graz. I arrived but my case didn’t. You have to put your darts in the hold as they are not allowed in hand luggage so I was so glad it turned up eventually. I played Luke Humphries on the Saturday afternoon in a close fought game that I won 6-5. Luke has years on me and has a great future ahead of him. I played World Champion Rob Cross on the Sunday afternoon and in another close fought battle I lost 6-5.
Amazing crowd over the weekend but the venue was very warm !!!!
Huge Congratulations to Jonny Clayton who secured his maiden PDC European title with an 8-5 win over Gerwyn Price in the final.
Two flights back to Heathrow then on to the Caterham Club in Surrey for a St. George’s night exhibition.

I lost 6-2 to Alan Tabern in the second round of The German Darts Open last Saturday and will be hoping for a better result this coming weekend at the European Tour 4 in Graz Austria, draw and schedule still to be made.
I am making good use of this lovely weather for the couple of days I have at home in the garden sewing seeds and planting our vegetables. Running a little late this year after all the bad weather.
It’s Great to see the sun again !!!!
In a first round clash between two former European Tour Winners James Wade took the game 6-3 at the Ostermann Arena in Leverkusen, Germany.
I played well but James was relentless. I haven’t qualified for the second European Tour in Munich over the Easter weekend but will be back in action for two European Qualifiers followed by two Pro Tour events at the Metrodome in Barnsley from 6th-8th April.
Have a great Easter break !!!!

After the horrendous journey in the snow from Norfolk to Somerset I was very disappointed with the result but I am not one to dwell on things so went back on the practise board to prepare for the next weekend in Barnsley.
I was over the moon when I realised I had pre Qualified for European Tours 3 & 4 April’s German Darts Open in Saarbrucken and also April’s Austrian Darts Open.

Steve Beaton has won a exhibition tournament on Saturday night in the English town of Dudley which raised over seven thousand for charity. A collection campaign for a charity for sick people was central during this evening.
The goal was to raise money for MS Hospice. This charity offers patients with incurable or life-limiting illnesses the opportunity to fully enjoy their lives. The end result was there, because after the event seven thousand pounds was collected.
During the event, an exhibition tournament was also played between Beaton, Alan Norris, Jamie Caven and Daryl Gurney. ‘The Bronzed Adonis’ was too strong for ‘Jabba’ in the semi-finals. Gurney knew how to beat Norris. In the final Beaton won the overall victory, thanks to a 161 finish.
Also walk-on girls Daniella Harper and Charlotte Wood were present on this evening. The ladies have been banned from television tournaments since this season. However, they are still a much requested addition for demonstration tournaments.
