I lost in the second round of the William Hill World Darts Championship to Vincent van der Voort.
I felt good going up there but Vincent had an incredible first set and from then on I was under pressure and it just didn’t go my way.
Thank you to my sponsors Winmau, The Wigley Group and Airpoirt Placements Ltd and also my Family and Friends for their continued support.
I would like to wish Vinvent van der Voort all the best for his next match !!!!
Merry Christmas everyone !!!!

Steve is through to the second round of the William Hill World Darts Championship televised by Sky Sports between December 14th 2017-January 1st 2018. Steve will play again on Friday 22nd December against the winner of Dave Chisnall and Vincent van der Voort.
Steve defeated William O’Connor 3-1 Thursday evening.

Former Lakeside Champion Steve Beaton kicked-off this year’s event on his 27th straight World Championship appearance with a reasonably comfortable 3-1 victory over Irish debutant William O’Connor.
“I know William can play well,” said Beaton. “But I sneaked the first set and I thought after I got the second set, he didn’t get off the stage – he tried to get himself focused.
“I thought the last two sets we both played how we can play. He’s just got to learn, I mean I’m still learning! I still get the butterflies and I’m tense and everything.
“I couldn’t believe the ending there, we were both banging them in and I just came out on top.”

Great weekend at The Mr Green Sport Players Championship held at Butlins Minehead between 24th-26th November.
I made the Quarter Finals !!!!
I had a 6-4 win over Ronny Huybrechts, 6-4 win over Jelle Klaasen and a 10-9 win over Jermaine Wattimena to reach the Quarters.
I was to play Jonny Clayton and having lead most of the game Jonny came back at me from 7-4 down to win 10-8.
Disappointed but onwards and upwards and I am now looking forward to the William Hill World Championships>
I have drawn William O’Connor in the first round !!!!
